Botanical is a brand new plant-based vegan restaurant in Charlottesville. It lived as much as all expectations! Right here’s what I ate for lunch.
Botanical Cville: Plant-Primarily based Scrumptious
I’ve been ready for months for Botanical to open since I first heard it was coming.
The restaurant is positioned within the area the place the Java Java espresso store was. The structure is identical with the lengthy counter and tables within the again. It felt so acquainted but so completely different!
For some time I’ve felt that the fast and wholesome lunch choices have been on the restricted facet. Charlottesville has wanted extra health-focused, plant-based vegan eating places.
I feel Botanical is a good addition to the downtown lunch spot assortment (Ooey Gooey, Farmacy, Nook Juice, Rev Soup, Tilman’s, Tonic, and extra). I’m excited to do extra lunch dates out with mates, particularly now that the climate is good!
Botanical’s Vegan Menu
Botanical’s menu is totally plant-based, and so they try to create a welcoming ambiance for all kinds of consuming and allergy symptoms. Greens are the principle occasion with yummy sauces, herbs, nuts, candy potatoes, rice, and extra.
Additionally they have sharables (avenue corn! sticky cauliflower!), salads (kale Caesar!), sandwiches like avocado toast and chickpea tuna (which include a facet salad), and a youngsters’ menu with issues like cashew cheese mac and cheese or an almond butter and jam sandwich.
Oh and desserts (see under) and low/tea/pastries.
In fact we drooled over the menu and popped out our cameras for twin pictures of the gorgeous bowls!
Botanical can also be open for dinner!
Elizabeth and I wish to return for some cocktails – the passionfruit and jalapeño cocktails had our consideration. Plus beer and wine too.
For lunch, we each had the rosemary lemonade, which was fab. Love the stainless straw!
Roasted Candy Potato Bowl
I used to be tremendous excited to style the gorgeous creations on the menu. My pal Scott, who’s a passionate vegan, has already been extra occasions than he can rely and really helpful the roasted candy potato bowl, which Elizabeth obtained. She shared a chunk of the candy potatoes – AMAZE!
Roasted candy potatoes, rice, avocado smash, cucumbers, chili cashews, bbq drizzle and cilantro
Crunchy Cauliflower Bowl
I settled on the cauliflower bowl which got here with crispy cauliflower nugs. They had been SO SO good!!! I beloved the tamari ranch too – I requested for extra on the facet!
rice, white beans, crispy cauliflower nugs, ginger garlic glaze, purple cabbage, mango, tamari ranch, sesame seeds, aleppo
The bowl was completely portioned for my lunch – practically completed all of it and left fortunately full.
To complete our lunch, we shared two completely different bars – the Jam Bar with a shortbread crust, raspberry jam, and crumble, and the Almond Layer Bar from Bowerbird Bakeshop. I imagine each had been vegan. And each had been so good!
I can’t wait to return for extra!!
Notice they’re closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
